What happens after you call
For urgent work, the first visit is about removing danger rather than finishing the repair. Anything hanging gets secured or taken down, water gets diverted away from an opening where that is possible, and photographs are taken before anything is moved.
For scheduled work you get a written figure before anyone starts, with optional items separated out rather than folded in. If what we find on site changes the scope, you hear that before the work continues rather than afterward.
Occasionally the honest answer is that the job belongs with a roofer, an irrigation contractor or nobody at all. We will say so plainly.
